• Medical Homebound

Rock Hill School District believes that the school environment is the best place for a child to grow both academically and socially, even for those with significant physical or mental health concerns. When a student is absent from school, they miss important classroom instruction and social experiences.

The Rock Hill School District Medical Homebound service is intended for students who are unable to attend school for a defined period of time due to an acute or recurring/chronic medical issue. A medical provider determines the need for Homebound services. A Homebound placement cannot be considered an instructional placement, as it is not meant to be long-term.

The four page Medical Homebound packet is available to parents at their student's home school, by the school administrator. This packet must be completed, signed and submitted in a timely manner, as a Homebound placement cannot be retroacted prior to the date completed and signed by the medical provider.
